EUR/USD to end lower this year - Rabobank
FXStreet (Guatemala) - Jane Foley, Senior Currency Strategist at Rabobank International explained that the EUR/USD is likely to end at lower levels.
Key Quotes:
"Even though we anticipate that the mixture of USD strength, disinflation and slow global growth will mean that the Fed is unlikely to hike interest rates until the end of this year, we remain of the view that EUR/USD will end the year at lower levels."
"Even a later than currently expected Fed rate hike is likely to come at a time when the ECB is engaged in its QE programme."
"Also, relatively better US growth, a lessened current account deficit and Obama’s plans to tax the cash piles of US firms held abroad should all provide a solid underpinning to the USD medium-term. Our 12 mth EUR/USD forecast stands at 1.10."
